Our journey began with Saima Angelina Gonsalves, CEO of OceanDeep Technologies — a visionary leader deeply committed to using technology for meaningful social impact. Witnessing her brother, Dr. Asher Chanan-Khan, a renowned Professor of Medicine & Oncology and one of America’s leading cancer specialists, bravely battle cancer and guide his own treatment, became a life-changing moment for her. Seeing his resilience and unwavering dedication, even in the face of his own illness, inspired Saima to establish Prevent Cancer, an NGO devoted to spreading awareness, promoting prevention, and empowering people to take proactive steps toward a healthier, cancer-free life. More than an organization, Prevent Cancer is a mission born from love, hope, and determination — transforming personal struggle into a powerful force for change in the fight against cancer.
